Effective Date: August 3, 2026
Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Google, or Microsoft, we receive your email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose to hide your email) and an authentication identifier. We never see your password.
Practice data. The nickname and grade you enter for the learner, the topics and goals you choose, the practice sets generated for you, and per-problem results (correct/incorrect and scores).
On-screen answers (not stored). When an answer written on screen is submitted, the image of the problem tile with the handwriting is sent to our AI provider to read the answer. The image is processed in memory and is not stored on our servers — only the result (the detected answer and whether it was correct) is retained.
Purchases. Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; we store only your subscription status, tier, and Apple transaction identifiers needed to grant your allowance.
Automatically collected. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, request metadata) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell personal information.
To operate the service: authenticate you, generate practice work suited to the learner's grade and goal, check answers, track progress, enforce usage allowances, provide support, and secure the service. Nothing else.

Data is stored on AWS in the United States, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is limited to what operating the service requires.
Account and practice data are retained while your account is active. Deleting your account in the app permanently removes all of it — account, practice history, results, and login — from our systems. Answer images are never retained (see section 1).
MathStride accounts are created and held by adults. A child may practice under the account holder's supervision; the only information collected from the child's use is the practice input itself — answers written on problem tiles, which are processed for checking and not stored — and the resulting scores. We do not knowingly collect any other personal information from children, we show no advertising, and we do not sell or share personal information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, contact us at support@mathstride.app and we will delete it promptly.
You may access your data in the app, correct the learner details you entered, and delete your account (and all its data) at any time in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA) to access, correct, delete, or port your data — contact us to exercise them. We honor deletion requests without discrimination.
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
